Meetup #1 the start of an avalanche

By | April 16, 2019

So I been happily running my side hustle, EmbroideryWare, for almost three years. June 2109 will be its third year birthday. Sales in 2018 were good.

Also I have been successful at automating my site by writing some PHP code to send out license codes and promotional materials. Now the site runs on its own. All I do now is maintenance.

I wondered what more I could do with WordPress? Maybe I can figure out some new ways to use the platform to improve my business. I just saw that there is a WordPress meetup on April 16th on APIs. I need to check that out.

Before I automated the WordPress site I sent out license codes manually. I did not know the inner workings of how APIs work and I was curious. Since this talk could benefit my business I definitely should go and see what I can learn.

Just think if I would have made other plans. I probably would not be writing this blog about a software journey. You see, it was at that meetup that I met a full stack engineer. Full stack? What the heck is that? I wondered. Oh oh… the avalanche just started!
